One of the best coffee programs in St. Louis. I grabbed a Colombian Finca Quebraditas pour-over (blew my mind) and then an iced Americano. I don't think it's possible to have a bad cup of coffee here. Like many of my favorite coffee shops, this one features a mixed-media interior with wood, brick, custom wallpaper, and other design touches. The barista knew his shit and broke down his personal recommendations in an approachable, insightful way. My only knock against Sump is their food options - they have a few pastries and high-end chocolate, but that's it. Whether you're local or not, Sump is a must for coffee lovers everywhere.

This is honestly my favorite cafe in St. Louis, and I use it as the bar for all others. It has the best selection of coffee beans from around the world, an unmatched pastry program, an impeccable mixed-media interior, and baristas who are by far the friendliest and most knowledgeable in the city. As someone who works a lot remotely, they have such a flexible space (two-top tables, counter/window seating, a few larger tables, quiet seating upstairs, and a beautiful patio out front. This has seriously become my home away from home.
