Cafeed
Terms of service
The basics of the agreement between you and Cafeed. We've kept it plain-spoken.
Last updated May 27, 2026
By creating an account or otherwise using Cafeed, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. We'll do our best to keep these terms short and readable.
Who can use Cafeed
You may use Cafeed if:
- You're at least 13 years old.
- You can form a legally binding agreement where you live.
- You provide accurate information when you sign up (a real email, etc.).
You're responsible for activity on your account, including any reviews, check-ins, or photos posted from it. Keep your account credentials safe — if you suspect unauthorized access, email hello@cafeed.appand we'll help.
How you can use Cafeed
You agree to use Cafeed in good faith. Specifically:
- Don't post content that's illegal, threatening, harassing, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or deliberately false.
- Don't impersonate other people, real or fictional, or claim affiliations you don't have.
- Don't spam, scrape, or attempt to overload the service with automated traffic. Manual exploration is welcome; large automated scrapers are not.
- Don't use Cafeed to publish someone else's private information.
- Don't interfere with how the site works — for example, by exploiting bugs, bypassing rate limits, or trying to access accounts that aren't yours.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules. For repeated or severe violations, we may terminate the account entirely.
Your content
You own the reviews, check-ins, photos, and other content you post on Cafeed. We don't claim ownership of it.
By posting content, you grant Cafeed a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, resize, and distribute that content on our platform — including in previews, social-share images, and other places we surface user contributions. This license exists only so we can show your content where you intended it to appear; it ends when you delete the content, except that we may retain a copy for a reasonable period for backup and legal-compliance purposes.
Don't post content you don't have the right to share. Photos you take of a cafe are yours; photos copied from someone else's website usually aren't.
Cafe information
Cafeed is a directory of cafes, populated from a mix of public sources, third-party services like Google Places, and user contributions. We make a good-faith effort to keep the information accurate but we can't guarantee that hours, addresses, menus, or other facts are current. Always check with the cafe directly before relying on critical details.
Featured tags, recommendations, and AI-generated insights are algorithmic guesses, not endorsements. They're based on public reviews and aggregate signals — not on a sponsored relationship with the cafe.
Cafe owner accounts
If you operate a cafe listed on Cafeed, you may claim and verify ownership through our claim flow. Verified owners may subscribe to a paid Business plan to access additional features (AI-generated insights, a verified badge, an owner dashboard).
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe and renew automatically. You may cancel at any time from your billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled case-by-case — email hello@cafeed.app if you have an issue and we'll work it out.
Owner status doesn't give you the right to remove legitimate user reviews of your cafe. You may respond to reviews; you may flag reviews you believe violate these terms; you may not silence honest feedback.
Cafeed's content
The Cafeed name, logo, brand, design, and codebase are owned by the operators of Cafeed (currently Billy Frazier). You may link to Cafeed pages and share them socially. You may not copy the brand or design to pass off another product as Cafeed.
No warranty
Cafeed is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information shown on it is accurate. Use of the site is at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cafeed and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim related to Cafeed is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.
Termination
You may stop using Cafeed at any time and may delete your account by emailing hello@cafeed.app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Termination doesn't affect provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive — such as content licenses already granted, liability limits, and dispute-resolution terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Missouri, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Cafeed grows. When we make meaningful changes we'll update the "last updated" date and, for significant updates, notify signed-in users by email. Continuing to use Cafeed after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
